Nothing superfluous. All Monster. Monster Dark distils the model’s iconic character to its purest essence. An all-black look, authentic details, and a light, agile, intuitive riding experience. Everything that makes Monster unmistakable, in an even Darker guise.

Stripped back to what matters, Monster Dark is the Monster in its purest form. An all-black Dark Stealth finish, honest mechanical details and a light, agile chassis deliver everything that makes the Monster an icon – with a moodier, more purposeful edge. Powered by the 111 hp 890 cc V2, it's equally at home on the daily commute or a fast B-road, and it's also available in a 35 kW version for A2 licence holders.

Black takes over, letting the Monster's iconic shapes do the talking. All-black wheels, a one-piece seat and unpainted details on the front frame, snorkel cap and silencer give it a raw, mechanical look with nothing superfluous.
The muscular 13.5-litre “bison back” tank nods to Monster history, with front vents inspired by the second-generation bike that also free up a wide steering angle. Textured side panels add grip, especially under braking. Up front, an updated full LED headlight with DRL and dynamic indicators gives a sharp, modern light signature.

The 90° V2 twin produces 111 hp at 9,000 rpm and 91.1 Nm at 7,250 rpm. At just 54.4 kg, it's the lightest twin Ducati has ever built, and its narrower, more compact layout tidies away many components that used to be on show.
Intake Variable Timing constantly adjusts intake valve timing, so you get strong, exciting top-end and smooth, usable pull low down. A slipper clutch and 6-speed gearbox complete the package, and a 35 kW restricted version is available for A2 riders.

Weighing 175 kg wet without fuel, Monster Dark combines a light aluminium monocoque frame with a generous steering angle for easy handling in town and real precision on faster roads. Revised Showa settings, with a 43 mm USD fork and preload-adjustable rear shock, strike a balance between everyday comfort and sporty stability.
Seat height is 815 mm – 5 mm lower than before – and a narrower straddle makes it easier to get your feet down. With the accessory low seat it drops to 795 mm, or 775 mm when paired with the lowering kit. Stopping power comes from Brembo M4.32 Monobloc calipers on twin 320 mm discs.

Four Riding Modes, each linked to its own customisable Power Mode, let you tailor the bike from relaxed urban riding to a sharper, sportier response. The package includes Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control and Ducati Brake Light, all preset per mode and fully adjustable.
The 5" colour TFT is 16% larger than before for clearer, easier reading, with Day and Night views and a choice of Road or Road Pro info layouts. Monster Dark is also ready for Ducati Quick Shift, cruise control, heated grips, turn-by-turn navigation and more.

Personalisation has been part of the Monster story for over thirty years, and Monster Dark is no different. Choose from Ducati Performance accessories including a windscreen, passenger seat cover, low seat and lowering kit, or add tech such as Ducati Quick Shift up/down, heated grips, cruise control and the Ducati Multimedia System.
